SMS Terms

These SMS Terms ("SMS Terms") describe the SMS/text messaging program operated by Factory Information Technology ("Factory Information Technology", "Factory IT", "we", "us", or "our"). By opting in to receive text messages from Factory Information Technology (Factory IT), you agree to these SMS Terms and our Privacy Policy.
1) Program Purpose
Factory Information Technology (Factory IT) uses SMS to send customer care messages related to helpdesk support tickets and service coordination, such as ticket acknowledgements, requests for information, scheduling, ETA updates, troubleshooting coordination, and resolution confirmations. This program is not intended for marketing or promotional broadcasts.
2) How to Opt In
You may opt in to receive messages by:
- Portal opt-in: submitting a support request at https://help.factoryinfotech.com/ and providing your mobile number with SMS consent.
- Verbal opt-in: providing your mobile number and confirming consent during a support call.
3) Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on ticket activity and service needs.
4) Costs
Message and data rates may apply based on your mobile plan. Factory Information Technology (Factory IT) does not charge a separate fee for SMS messages.
5) Supported Carriers
Supported carriers may vary. Delivery is subject to effective transmission from your wireless service provider and is not guaranteed. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
6) Opt Out
You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. After you opt out, you will no longer receive messages unless you re-opt in. You may also reply START to resubscribe (where supported).

8) Privacy

9) User Responsibilities
- You represent that you are the account holder or have authority to opt in for the mobile number provided.
- You agree to provide accurate contact information and to update it if it changes.
- You understand that SMS is not a guaranteed or secure method of communication; do not send highly sensitive information via SMS.
10) Disclaimers and Limitations
The SMS program is provided on an "as is" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Factory Information Technology (Factory IT) disclaims all warranties, and will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to the SMS program, including delays, non-delivery, or unauthorized access.
11) Changes to These SMS Terms
We may update these SMS Terms from time to time. We will post updated terms on this page and update the Effective Date. Your continued participation after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
